Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026.

This page explains what data the ifenua.pf website processes, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. This processing is governed by French Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties (the “loi Informatique et Libertés”), which applies in French Polynesia.

Data controller

IFenua, N° Tahiti C49489, BP 380 003 – 98718 Punaauia, French Polynesia.

For any question about your data: contact@ifenua.pf.

Data collected

When you use the contact form, we receive:

  • your name, your email address, the subject and your message (required);
  • your phone number, if you choose to give it;
  • technical data linked to the submission: IP address, browser type, date and time.

When you browse the website, we measure its traffic without cookies (see “Website analytics”), and our servers keep technical logs (IP address, page requested, date and time, browser) to keep them secure and to fix errors.

We collect no other data: no account, no payment, no advertising.

Where your data goes

Your data is never sold, rented or transferred. Only IFenua uses it; it passes through the following services:

  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States), which protects and speeds up the site: it sees your IP address, the pages requested and the contact form’s content as it is sent; transfer covered by the Data Privacy Framework;
  • our servers, hosted by HEBERGEMENT OVH INC. in Canada: website, message database, technical logs, visit statistics and error tracking;
  • our email: our own sending server forwards your message to our contact@ifenua.pf mailbox, hosted by Google (Gmail);
  • a notification containing no personal data tells us about each new message.

Why

  • To answer your request and, if you wish, to prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To protect the website against automated submissions and attacks, and to fix technical errors. Legal basis: IFenua’s legitimate interest in keeping its services secure.
  • To measure the website’s traffic with pseudonymous statistics, in order to improve it. Legal basis: IFenua’s legitimate interest.

We do not use your contact details to send you advertising or a newsletter.

How long it is kept

  • Contact form messages, with the technical data of the submission (including your IP address): 12 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Server technical logs: 30 days. They hold the technical data of each request (IP address, page address, date and time), never the content of your messages.
  • Visit statistics, pseudonymous: 25 months, then deleted.

Website analytics

We measure the website’s traffic with Umami, a tool installed on our own servers. Umami sets no cookies: to group the pages and visits of one browser within a month, it computes an identifier from your IP address and your browser, renewed every month. The statistics are therefore pseudonymous, not anonymous.

They are used only by IFenua and contain: the number of visits, the pages viewed, the referring website and campaign parameters (QR code, campaign link), the approximate country and city, the type of device, the operating system, the browser, the screen size and the browser language, and how the pages are used: sections seen, scrolling, time spent, clicks (buttons, theme, language, email address, external links), the steps of the contact form (never what you type in it), pages not found and measures of the website’s speed.

They are kept for 25 months, then deleted. They are neither shared nor combined with other data.

No tool from Google, Facebook or any other advertising network is used on this website.

Cookies and storage in your browser

This website sets no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, which is why no consent banner is shown.

  • Your language: a session cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, remembers the language in which you read the website, so that the home page opens in that language. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser (local storage) so that it is kept from one page to the next. This value stays in your browser; a change of theme is only counted in the visit statistics (see “Website analytics”). You can delete it by clearing this website’s data in your browser.
  • The anti-robot check on the contact form uses Cap, hosted on our servers: your browser solves a small calculation, without cookies and without asking you to solve an image puzzle.

Security

Exchanges with the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to messages and servers is restricted to IFenua. The servers and software we use are kept up to date.

Your rights, including deletion

At any time, you can:

  • access your data and get a copy of it;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
  • ask for it to be erased;
  • object to its processing or ask for its restriction;
  • set instructions on what happens to your data after your death.

To do so, write to contact@ifenua.pf stating your request. We reply within one month. We may ask you to prove your identity if there is reasonable doubt.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés), the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr/plaintes (opens in a new tab).
